Self Adhesive Foamcore Backing

This product does not work at all as advertised. The product supplied is Elmer's Permanent Self Adhesive. This is not the the same product shown on Matshop's website. The adhesive is extremely strong and immediately permanent, not after 24 hours. It is extremely difficult if not impossible to reposition the work without damaging it. There is no indication on the product or the Elmer's website that it is acid free. A total disappointment. Hi Robert, The self adhesive board is not advertised as acid-free as the adhesive makes that non-applicable. There is some initial ability to reposition artwork if the paper is thick enough and it has not been smoothed down on the board. One hint is to ensure that you get a board larger than your art. Then is something is not perfectly straight when you lay down the work - you can trim off any excess with an exacto knife to get straight edges. This board is great for photographers or artists who print their own images but is not recommended as a way to mount valuable work or one of a kind images.

This is so useful in any size, but especially when you're trying to position a print smaller than the mat precisely behind a window. It used to be thought that sticking a whole sandwich together like this was unprofessional; but now it seems that the barrier between print and backing may make for longer life.
